Overall this is a project about world building.

Even with a pulpy serialized format the characters and setting are what sells the involvement of the audience, If I can show a well realized and conveyed world, then it will be much easier for the reader to connect with the characters, and thus to allow for them to buy into the incredible situations that they find themselves in and dealing with.
