In years alive one of the youngest members of the 1st Division, but chronologically easily the oldest. Andre is actually from the 12th Century Europe, originally encountered by the team in their first mission together as an adversary. And after a second encounter brought back to the 27th and educated and brought into the fold.
Originally the daughter of farmers, she took over care of her little brother at age 9, when her parents both died from sickness after butchering a contaminated animal. She and Marcel ended up traveling through the countryside after failing to be able to manage their small farm by themselves. After a time scraping by with petty thievery to secure meager meals, they caught a small break when they were taken in by an Abbot, who cared for them, taught them to read and gave them educations. Andre hought at the time the advances put upon her by the Abbot were worth enduring, however when he started looking to Marcel they moved on.
After this she took to posing as a boy, and they went back to stealing to get by, not slightly better at it, eventually they crossed paths with Sir Giles, a knight errant who was addled from one combat to many who saw himself to be on a grand quest. While not in full command of his faculties, he was a kind soul who took Andre & Marcel at face value and took them on as his squires out of sympathy. The relationship progressed well, they “boys” took care of him when he was not in full command of his faculties, and he proceeded to train them in the art of combat. Marcel didn’t take to it, but Andre recognized the value of what was being offered to her and took to it quite well. She advanced in her skills as a “knight”, developing her strength and determination as she grew up, allowing her to actually hide her feminine attributes even more with the development of broad shoulders and muscles that allowed her to when Sir Giles finally sucumbed to pneumonia and they had respectfully buried him in the woods, take his horse and arms as her own, and sell herself as a mercenary, with Marcel as her squire.
She encountered the definitely insane Referee Irving Goldblum on her travels, and was brought into his plot as an agent that he could control to try and counter the forces that the Temporal Army would send back to stop him. During this confrontation she encountered both Lucas Priest & Finn Delanny, unfortunately loosing her brother Marcel to someone she had been forced to double-cross. After being saved by Reese Hunter, a member of the Underground and an ex Temporal Soldier, she was able to exact her revenge for the death of her brother, and then was cautiously accepting of the concepts that were thrust upon her as the expanse of all of time was opened up to her. Unfortunately when Reese tried to make contact with his fellow Underground members, to acquire an implant to allow for education and other benefits for her, he was killed, leaving her to her own devices in 17th Century France, out of her depth. Where once again she crossed paths with Priest & Delanny, who ended up assisting each other, leading to her being welcomed into the newly formed 1st Division as a displaced person.
